For a basic search, simply type a keyword or phrase into the search box.

If you are looking for exact words or phrases, type the phrase into the search box and wrap quotation marks around them. You will only see results with that exact phrase.

With the advanced search, you can search by issue date, author, tag, or keywords. For an issue date search, select the time frame to view multiple issues, as opposed to the calendar icon for one issue at a time. With a tag search, you can do more than one tag at a time. A tag is a topic or an editorial column.

To search for an image, click “Image” on the menu at the top. Type in a keyword or phrase into the search box. You will see issues and articles that correspond to the image.

To find an issue using the date, the calendar icon (top icon) in the right navigation bar. Using the left and right arrows you can navigate to your desired date.
To quickly reach a desired month, click on the month and year in between the left and right arrows. You can choose the desired month by using the menu of months. To quickly reach a desired year, click on the year in between the left and right arrows. You can choose the desired month by using the menu of years.
Then press “OK.”
Using the arrows (3rd and 4th icons) on the right navigation bar you can switch between pages. To view the issue more closely, click the page icon (2nd icon) on the right navigation bar.
The orange dot on the date signifies that an issue was printed on that day.

To reset the search, click the AsianWeek Database Project logo on the top left corner.
